We Believe

We believe in the cardinal doctrines of the church as they are taught in the Scriptures. These doctrines are manifested in the teaching and life of the church. We believe that;

· God is the Creator and Sustainer of our world.  One day He will intervene in the course of history, and call upon every person to account for his or her actions.  (Gen. 1:1-28; Ps. 19:24:1-2; Acts 17:24-31)
· Jesus is the divine Son of God sent to live in our world.  We call upon each person who would serve with us to confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. (Mt. 16:13-20: John 1:1-5; Phil. 2:5-11)
· Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind and rose from the dead to guarantee the eternal life of those who believe in Him. ( Luke 18:31-34; John 20:1-23; Rom. 3:21-26; 1 Co. 15:3-8)
· The Holy Spirit of God is active within our world and abides within the heart of each Christian, and guides our lives daily. (John 7:37-39; 14:26; Rom. 8:1-17)
· The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of  God, and it reveals God’s will for His Church. (Is. 55:8-11; John 5:39; Acts 4:25; Heb. 4:12-13)
· Christians come to salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and  baptism by immersion into His Name. (Acts 2:36-41; 16:29-34; Rom. 6:1-7; Heb. 11:1-6)
· The Lord’s Supper is the central act in  Christian worship.  The loaf and the cup represent the body and blood of our Lord. It is observed each Lord’s Day. (Mt. 26:26-30; Acts 20:7; 1 Co. 11:23-30)
· The church is the Body of Christ.  It is a living organism which Christ, as He is head of the Church, rules. (Eph. 1:20-23; 2:19-22; Col. 1:15-23;1 Co. 12:12-31)
· All that we are and all that we have is a gift from God.  We return our tithes and offerings to His church in thanksgiving for what we have received. (Mt. 6:19-24; 23:23; Mal. 3:6-11; 2 Co. 9:6-11)
